The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is a U.S. agency that develops widely adopted standards for technology, security, and innovation across industries. Their Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) is a flexible, practical model designed to help organizations of all sizes manage and reduce cybersecurity risk. 


Rather than prescribing specific tools or vendors, the CSF breaks cybersecurity down into five core categories that guide teams in identifying threats, protecting assets, detecting anomalies, responding effectively, and recovering efficiently.

Kotter's 8-Step Model for Change

Kotter's framework, when adapted for AI deployment, provides a comprehensive approach to organizational transformation:

ADKAR Model for AI Adoption

The ADKAR model provides a structured approach to managing AI adoption. The acronym stands for:

  • Awareness of why AI is needed and how it benefits the organization
  • Desire to participate in and support the transformation
  • Knowledge of how to work effectively with the tools
  • Ability to implement new skills and behaviors
  • Reinforcement to sustain the change over time
